You can set up Auto updates to automatically update your product availability, price, and inventory in your Shopify store. For example, if a supplier runs out of stock, then you can set up Oberlo to automatically make out-of-stock products unavailable in your Shopify store and invisible to your customers.
You can configure your automatic updates settings from your Oberlo admin in Settings > Auto updates.
On this page:
Manage product availability updates
You can set up Auto updates to automatically manage your product and product variant availability in your Shopify store in the Settings > Auto updates section.
When product is no longer available
In the When product is no longer available section, select what you want Oberlo to do when a supplier runs out of a product:
Option | Description |
Do nothing | The out-of-stock product is still available for purchase in your Shopify store. |
Set as draft | Oberlo changes your out-of-stock product's from Active to Draft and makes your product unavailable in your Shopify store. Your customers cannot see or buy it. If the product is restocked by the supplier, then Oberlo doesn't change your product's status to Active. You need to manually make your product available on your Online Store in your Shopify admin. |
Set Quantity To Zero | The out-of-stock product appears as Out of stock in your Shopify store. If you want Oberlo to automatically update the stock after a product is restocked, then enable the product inventory updates. |
When variant is no longer available
In the When variant is no longer available section, select what you want Oberlo to do when a supplier runs out of a product variant:
Option | Description |
Do nothing | The out-of-stock product variant is still available for purchase in your Shopify store. |
Remove Variant | Oberlo deletes the out-of-stock product variant from your Shopify store. Your customers cannot see or buy it. You do not lose variant sales data when it is deleted.
|
Set Quantity To Zero | The product variant appears as Out of stock in your Shopify store. If you want Oberlo to automatically update the stock after a product is restocked, then enable the product inventory updates. |
Manage product cost updates
You can set up Auto updates to automatically update your product prices and compare at prices in your Shopify store.
In the When the cost changes section, select what you want Oberlo to do when a supplier changes the cost of a product:
Option | Description |
Do nothing | Oberlo doesn't make any price changes in your Shopify store and disables the Automatically update price when cost changes option for your products in the Products and Import List pages. If you set your product prices manually, then you need to select the Do Nothing option. This way Oberlo disables the automatic product price updates for your products in the Product and Import List pages. |
Update Price And Compare At Price | Oberlo automatically updates your product price and compare at price according to your pricing rules settings. |
Update Price Only | Oberlo automatically updates your product price according to your pricing rules settings but does not change your compare at price. |
Manage product inventory updates
You can set up Auto updates to automatically update your product inventory in your Shopify store. In the When inventory changes section, select what you want Oberlo to do when the inventory level of a product changes:
Option | Description |
Do nothing | Oberlo doesn't make any product inventory changes in your Shopify store. |
Update Automatically | Oberlo automatically updates product inventory levels in your Shopify store. |
