You can run your dropshipping business in any currency you want. You can change your store’s currency in Shopify admin. Oberlo’s default currency is USD, this means that Oberlo shows and imports product and shipping cost in USD.

If you use other currency than USD in your Shopify store, then Oberlo displays and automatically converts product and shipping costs into the currency you use. Oberlo pricing rules take into account the converted product costs and sets your product prices accordingly.

Change your store currency

If you want to sell products in another currency, then you need to change the currency in Shopify. When you change the currency, Oberlo automatically shows and converts all product and shipping costs into the currency you selected.

For example, let’s suppose you change your store currency to EUR, then you import a product from AliExpress that costs 10.00 USD. Oberlo then converts the product price from USD to EUR and displays its value as 8.24 EUR in Oberlo.

To change the currency in your online store, follow these steps:

1. From the Shopify admin, go to Settings and then click General.

2. In the Store currency section, select the preferred currency.

Note: If you have launched your store and have already made sales, then you need to contact Shopify Support to change your store currency.

3. Click Save.

If you use Shopify Payments, then you can sell in multiple currencies. Your customers can shop and pay in their preferred currencies. For more information, refer to the Sell in multiple currencies with Shopify Payments article.

Adjust product prices using pricing rules

After you change the currency in your store, then your existing product prices in the Import List and Products pages are not converted automatically. For example, 10.00 USD becomes 10.00 EUR.

To update and convert your existing product prices according to your pricing rules, you should click Apply to existing products in the Pricing rules page. If you do not use pricing rules to price your products, then you need to adjust your product prices manually.

To learn more about pricing rules, refer to the Setting products prices using pricing rules article.
