If your product runs out of stock or you find the same product but at a cheaper price, then you might want to change your product’s supplier. To do that you need to find a replacement product and then use one of the following methods:

  • Map your product variants to change them with product variants from another supplier individually.

  • Override your product to change your product variants with product variants from another supplier in bulk.

  • Change your product with a product from another supplier for current orders only.

Change the supplier for your product variants individually

  1. From your Oberlo admin, click Products.

  2. Click the product that you want to change.

  3. In the AliExpress Products section, click MANAGE VARIANTS.

  4. In the AliExpress Products field, paste the URL of the replacement product that you want to connect to your existing product.

You can also connect AliExpress products and map product variants directly from the Orders page. From your Oberlo admin, click Orders > click EDIT next to your order > click Map variants.

Change the supplier for your current orders only

If you want to change your product’s supplier for your current orders only, then you can replace your order item from the Orders page in Oberlo.

For example, let's say a new supplier runs a sale on a product that you usually purchase from a different supplier. You can replace your order item for your existing orders to use this new supplier and take advantage of the sale, but keep your original supplier for future orders after the sale ends.

Steps:

  1. Find a product to replace the existing order item and copy the product URL from your browser’s bar.

  2. From your Oberlo admin, click Orders.

  3. Click EDIT next to the order item that you want to replace.

  4. Click Replace order item.

  5. In the Replace order item window, paste the replacement product URL.

  6. In the Select variant field, select a product variant that you want to replace with.

  7. Choose whether you want to apply this change to a single order or all orders:

    • To replace your order item for a single order, select Selected order only.

    • To replace your order item for all orders that are in the To order status, select All XX orders in “To order” status.

  8. Click REPLACE.
