When you receive a sale in your Shopify store, then you need to go to the Orders page in your Oberlo admin and place your order with a supplier. After a supplier ships your order, then you have to sync the order information from AliExpress back to Oberlo. Then your order is fulfilled in Shopify and your customer is informed.

Requirements

Before you place any AliExpress orders, make sure you meet the following requirements:

  • You're on a desktop or laptop computer. You can't place orders on mobile or tablet devices.

  • You're using the Google Chrome browser.

  • You have the Oberlo Chrome extension installed on your browser.

  • You're signed into your AliExpress account on AliExpress. Don't place orders as a guest as you won't be able to track their progress later.

  • Your AliExpress shopping cart is empty.

If your order doesn't show up in Oberlo, then you need to fix your missing order.

Place a single AliExpress order

Steps:

  1. From your Oberlo admin, go to the Orders page and then find the order that you want to place.

  2. Click ORDER.

  3. Then you're directed to the AliExpress checkout page. The Oberlo Chrome extension automatically adds the product to your shopping cart, fills in the customer shipping information, and selects your preferred shipping method.

  4. Select your preferred payment method, add your payment details, and then click Continue.

  5. Optional: If you ship to the US, Canada, or UK, then you might see an option to fill in the billing address. Make sure to uncheck the Same as shipping address checkbox and then fill in your own billing address.

  6. Review your order information and then click Place Order to pay for your order. Then the Oberlo Chrome extension syncs your AliExpress order's ID back to Oberlo and changes your order's status to In Processing.

If your order contains products from multiple AliExpress suppliers, then you need to repeat these steps and place separate AliExpress orders with each supplier.

After you place an order, you need to wait until the supplier ships your order, and then sync your order information from AliExpres to Oberlo.

Place multiple AliExpress orders

You can place multiple orders at a time with the bulk ordering feature. The bulk ordering feature is available on the Boss plan. To upgrade your Oberlo plan, go to the Your plan page in Oberlo.

Steps:

  1. From your Oberlo admin, go to the Orders page.

  2. Use the checkboxes to select the orders that you want to place in bulk. To select orders across multiple pages, use the page navigation at the bottom of the page. You can select an unlimited number of orders from multiple pages.

  3. Click PLACE # ALIEXPRESS ORDERS.

  4. Now the Oberlo Chrome extension starts placing your orders in the background. The extension adds your products to the shopping cart, selects the shipping methods according to your suppliers settings, and solves any CAPTCHAs automatically on behalf of you,

  5. Optional: If there are any issues with your orders such as an incorrect shipping address or a product is out of stock, then the extension stops and shows you a notification about an issue. Click SOLVE to be directed to the AliExpres checkout to fix the issue or skip an order to continue the bulk ordering process.

  6. After the extension places all of your orders, then you receive a confirmation message on the Orders page in your Oberlo admin. The extension syncs your AliExpress orders' IDs back to Oberlo and changes your orders' status to In Processing.

  7. Optional: If you want to review your orders and which shipping methods were selected for each order, then click OPEN STATUS PAGE > OPEN ALIEXPRESS ORDER LIST. Review your orders` information and go back to the status page in Oberlo. If you want to change the shipping method for an order, then you need to cancel it and place that order separately.

  8. Click Pay For All Orders, then you're directed to the AliExpress checkout page.

  9. Click Pay now, select your preferred payment method, add your payment details, click Confirm, and then click Pay now.

In AliExpress you can place up to 30 orders at a time. For example, if you want to place 100 orders, then you can place all 100 orders through Oberlo, and then pay for them in AliExpress in three checkouts of 30 orders and one checkout of 10 orders. There can be some payment methods that can limit you to pay up to 10 orders at a time.

After you place your orders, you need to wait until the supplier ships them, and then sync your orders` information from AliExpres to Oberlo.

Sync your order information

After you place your order, the supplier needs a few days to accept your order and ship it out. This is known as the order processing time. Once the supplier ships out your order you receive an email and your order gets a tracking number on AliExpress. You then need to sync your order information with Oberlo.

After you sync your order’s information from AliExpress to Oberlo the following changes happen:

  • Your order’s status changes to Shipped in Oberlo.

  • Your order is marked as fulfilled in Shopify.

  • The order’s tracking number is synced with Oberlo and Shopify.

  • If you have configured the automatic shipping confirmations notifications, then your customer receives an order confirmation email or SMS.
