When you receive a Shopify order with Oberlo products, then you need to go to the Orders page in Oberlo and process the order. Once the supplier ships the order, then you have to sync the tracking number from AliExpress back to Oberlo. This ensures that the order is fulfilled in Shopify and your customer is informed.

Before processing the Shopify orders in Oberlo make sure of the following:

  • Have the Oberlo Chrome Extension installed and use a computer or laptop. You cannot process orders on your mobile device or tablet.
  • Create your AliExpress account and log into it (do not place orders as a guest as you will not be able to track their progress later).
  • Empty your AliExpress cart.

Fulfill a single Shopify order

To fulfill a single Shopify order in Oberlo, follow these steps:

1. From the Orders page in Oberlo, click Order product to start the ordering process.

If your Shopify order does not appear in Oberlo, then refer to the Missing Orders (Why Can I Not See My Orders in Oberlo?) article.

2. You are redirected to the AliExpress website, where the Oberlo Chrome Extension (OCE) automatically adds the product to your cart, fills in the customer shipping information, and selects the desired shipping method. Please make sure to review the information and adjust it as necessary.

3. Once you review the information, select the preferred payment method, and add your payment details.

Optional: If you ship to the USA, Canada, or UK, you will see an option to fill in the Billing Address. Make sure to leave the checkbox unmarked and use your own billing address.

4. To complete and pay for your AliExpress order, press Place Order. If placed successfully, OCE syncs the AliExpress order ID back to Oberlo, and your AliExpress order in Oberlo is marked as In Processing.

Note: In case your Shopify order contains products from multiple AliExpress suppliers, then you need to repeat this process and place separate AliExpress order with each supplier.

5. Now you need to wait for the AliExpress supplier to ship the order - usually, that takes around 2-7 days. Once the AliExpress supplier ships the order, you need to sync the tracking number from AliExpress back to Oberlo. You can sync the tracking number in the following ways (in both cases the tracking number is synced using OCE):

  • Go to aliexpress.com and log in to your AliExpress account. Then go to Orders page in Oberlo, find the desired AliExpress order, and press the Get tracking number button.
  • Go to aliexpress.com and log in to your AliExpress account. Then go to Orders list in AliExpress and press Send Details, Sync this page, or Sync all orders button.

Once the tracking information is synced back to Oberlo, Oberlo automatically marks the AliExpress order as Shipped as well as marks the Shopify order as Fulfilled. If you have set up automated shipping confirmation notifications in Shopify, your customer will receive a notification that their order has been shipped. To learn more, refer to the Sending shipping confirmation notifications to customers article.

Fulfill multiple Shopify orders

The bulk ordering feature is available on Oberlo’s Basic and Pro subscription plans. To upgrade your subscription plan, go to the Manage Subscription page in Oberlo.

To fulfill multiple Shopify orders in Oberlo, follow these steps:

1. Go to the Orders page in Oberlo and use the checkboxes to select the orders you want to fulfill in bulk. To select orders across multiple pages, please use the page navigation at the bottom of the Orders page.

Note: You can select an unlimited number of orders from multiple pages.

2. Once you have selected the desired orders, press Place X AliExpress Orders to start the ordering process.

3. Now Oberlo opens a new browser tab and starts to process your orders. The Oberlo Chrome Extension (OCE) adds the products to your cart, automatically selects the preferred shipping method according to your shipping settings, and assigns the Awaiting Payment status to the orders on AliExpress.

If the Oberlo Chrome Extension (OCE) encounters any issues when placing AliExpress orders, then it stops and shows a notification about the issue. In such a case, click Solve and then you are automatically redirected to the AliExpress website to fix the issue or skip the order. Once this is done, continue to process the remaining orders.

The Oberlo Chrome Extension (OCE) checks your personalized shipping methods. If they are not available, then it checks the default shipping method. If the default shipping method is not available, then it selects the cheapest shipping method. To change your shipping settings, refer to the Settings: Suppliers article.

Note: When you place multiple AliExpress orders at once you might encounter a CAPTCHA on the AliExpress checkout page. The Oberlo Chrome Extension (OCE) solves CAPTCHAs automatically on behalf of you within seconds.

4. Once OCE finishes placing your orders in bulk, then a confirmation message is displayed on the Orders page in Oberlo. If placed successfully, OCE syncs the AliExpress order IDs back to Oberlo and your AliExpress orders in Oberlo are marked as In Processing. Since the AliExpress orders have not been paid for yet, you need to press the Pay For All Orders button to be directed to the checkout page on aliexpress.com.

There is no limit to how many AliExpress orders you can place at a time in bulk within Oberlo, however, AliExpress lets you pay for up to 30 orders at a time. For example, if you place 90 orders, you will need to pay for them in 3 batches: for the first 30 orders, then another 30 orders, and the rest of the orders. However, there might be some payment methods that can limit you to pay for a maximum of 10 orders at once.

5. In AliExpress checkout, select the preferred payment method and enter the required details, and click Pay Now to pay for your orders.

6. Now you need to wait for the AliExpress supplier to ship the orders - usually, that takes around 2-7 days.
