When you place orders on AliExpress, you need to provide a phone number. You can configure Oberlo to use your customer’s phone number or use a non-existent phone number instead.

Considerations
You can configure Oberlo to use your customer’s phone number on AliExpress or automatically add a non-existent phone number.
Some shipping carriers use phone numbers to inform customers about a package delivery or pick-up. If you provide your customer’s phone number, then it might increase the probability of successful delivery. However, depending on the destination country and carrier, a carrier’s SMS might contain a reference to “AliExpress”.
If you’re selling products to the same country where you live, then you can place a test order to check whether the carrier sends an SMS and refers to “AliExpress”.
Use your customer’s phone number when placing orders
If you want to use your customer’s phone number on AliExpress, then you need to configure your Shopify checkout settings to collect the customer's phone number and make sure your Oberlo settings are configured correctly.

Steps:
From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Checkout.
Scroll down to the Form options section.
In the Shipping address phone number section, select Optional or Required. If you select the Required option, then this might reduce your sales conversion rate. Some customers don’t want to provide their phone numbers to stores they’re not familiar with.
Click Save.
From your Oberlo admin, go to Settings > Suppliers.
In the Order details section, make sure that the Hide customer's phone number when placing orders on AliExpress option isn't checked.
If you set the customer’s phone number collection to Optional or Hidden, and your customer doesn’t provide a phone number, then Oberlo automatically adds a non-existent phone number when you place your orders on AliExpress.
Hide your customer’s phone number when placing orders
If you collect your customer’s phone number, but you don’t want to use it when placing orders on AliExpress, then you can enable the Hide customer's phone number when placing orders on AliExpress option. Oberlo then uses one of the following non-existent phone numbers when you place orders on AliExpress.
Destination Country | International calling code | Local phone number |
Saudi Arabia | +965 | 500000000 |
United Arab Emirates | +971 | 500000000 |

Steps:
From your Oberlo admin, go to Settings > Suppliers.
In the Order details section, check Hide customer phone number when placing orders on AliExpress.
